Library

The library is fully  automated with libsey (release 5.0 LAN version with web OPAC) and now houses about 25000 volume of books; all the books are bar-coded. The library subscribes  to about 100 national/ international journals  in print form, 95 in electronic through inter net , 17 magazines and at newspapers . A rich collection of CDs recognized & DVDs is also available for its users , the books in the library are classified  according   to the dewey decimal classification  scheme 22nd  addition and catalogued  in MARC-21 format and manual form both by AACR-2 . the library is a member of DELNET\(developing library network). DELNET has about million catalogue records books , periodicals, articles, etc, available in machine-readable form. The library automated and networked in order to provide efficient reference service to its user can access our library throughs internet / intranet.

DIGITAL LIBRARY

Digital library is Application place where we can retrieve all desired information within Application few minutes. Digital library may be called Application paperless library. We can get all the information through a machine and internet connection. We can access different books through different approaches, that are mentioned below.

APPROACHES:

OPAC(on-line public access catalogues ) besides all these we have the membership of DELNET. Actually this is a developing library network . DELNET has been established with The prime objective of promoting resource sharing among the library through the Development of a network of libraries.

It aims to collect, store, and disseminate information besides offering computerized services To user, to coordinate effort for suitable collection development and also to reduce Unnecessary duplication wherever possible.

We can access all the books, which are available in any member library all across the country through union  catalogue of books.

There is a catalogue of one lac books. Which can be searched by bibliographic information.There is a large database of books, journals and encyclopedia.

We can access 400 journals and get photocopy of desired article on payment through inter library loan.
