Kanpur City: According to history, the village of Kanpur was founded in 1207 by Raja KanhDeo of the Kanhpuria clan. It subsequently became Kanpur, and the city was known as Cawnpore when under British occupation. In the state of Uttar Pradesh, Kanpur is the biggest metropolis.
